Michael
Brant-Zawadzki, M.D., F.A.C.R.
Dr.
Brant Zawadzki is an internationally recognized educator, lecturer, and researcher
in the field of radiology. Dr. Brant-Zawadzki earned his BA at Stanford University,
and his medical degree from the College of Medicine at the University of Cincinnati,
where he graduated first in his class. His residency in diagnostic radiology and
subsequent fellowship in Neuroradiology were completed at Stanford University
Medical Center, where he remained on the faculty. He subsequently served as a
professor for six years on the full time faculty in the Department of Radiology
at the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Brant-Zawadzki has
authored over 150 peer-reviewed papers, authored and edited a number of textbooks,
serves on numerous editorial boards for professional journals as well as on numerous
professional organization boards and committees. He continues to lecture at scores
of symposia, professional society meetings and postgraduate courses. He has supervised
a large number of postdoctoral fellows and participated in many research projects.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Radiology, has received the Gold Medal
form the society of magnetic Resonance in medicine, and is a recipient of several
other awards.
Dr. Brant-Zawadzki currently serves as the Medical Director
for the Department of Radiology at Hoag memorial Hospital in Newport Beach, California,
and is also a Voluntary Clinical Professor of Radiology at Stanford University,
he is a consultant to a number of companies in the biotech and radiology fields.
He brings more than 25 years of Radiology and organizational expertise to his
position with Newport Harbor Radiology.

1975 Stella F. Hoffheimer Award (1st in medical school graduating class) 1974-75
Alpha Omega Alpha, 3rd and 4th years, University of Cincinnati College of medicine
1989 Fellowship, American College of Radiology 1993 Gold Medal, society of
Magnetic Resonance in medicine, 7th recipient for outstanding pioneering achievements
in magnetic resonance imaging.
